What is Better Chlorine or Oxygen?
Every owner of a garden pool will sooner or later face the problem of microorganisms that cause water pollution in the tank and its walls. Fortunately, we already have the means to fight these microorganisms - now you just have to choose which of these pool cleaning methods you choose, depending on the specific goal you want to achieve, the type and degree of pollution and your own preferences. We will try to help you make a decision.
Selection: Multifunction tablets, Chemochlor T Granulat 65, Chemochlor T Tablets 20g
Use: depending on the preparation 5multitab / 10m3 of water, 35g / 10m3 of water, 2tab / 10m3 of water
Principle: Chlorine is the most common and effective product when it comes to caring for pool water. Its effect is strongly antibacterial. In all formulations, it is mixed with carriers and stabilizers, into tablets or granules. During the disinfection process, chlorine is slowly released from the complex and, as an active ingredient, destroys the bacteria present in the water.
Subsequent doses of disinfectant will increase the carrier concentration, which in turn will slow down the release of chlorine from the product. To prevent this, be sure to change at least 3% of all pool water once a week.
Selection: Tablets with active oxygen 20g + Aquablanc A
Usage: 5 -10 tab / 15m3 of water + 400ml / 15m3 of water
Principle: Oxygen is similar to chlorine, but water treatment is less radical. Oxygen alone is not enough to effectively remove algae from the garden pool - the perpetrators who are responsible for the green color of the water. Aquablanc A is recommended for use with active oxygen tablets.
The oxygen method is a fast, odorless water treatment process. It is friendly to people allergic to chlorine.
TROUBLESHOOTING FOR "GREEN WATER"
Algae are responsible for greening pool water, which takes several hours to reproduce. They build organic compounds from inorganic compounds contained in water, which are a source of pollution. They are responsible for the slippery layer of sediment on the bottom and walls of the pool. The sun-lit places where the standing waters are still most exposed - thus become a refuge for the development of algae, from which they can spread throughout the pool. Chlorination alone may not be enough to completely suppress these problems, although we initially see the positive effects of Chemochlor. However, over time, algae will become resistant to chlorine and then you should use Albu, alone or with other chemicals. It is a tasteless and odorless product, the basic dose of which is 100 ml / 10 m3 of water. In order not to return the problem, it is also necessary to improve the circulation of water in the pool, thus eliminating "dead spots" where chemistry does not reach enough and where algae obtain favorable conditions for reproduction.
When preparing bathing water, it is also important to remove those particles that are completely dissolved in the water (such as salts, acids, bases, amino acids, and urea) that are visible as water turbidity. This is usually caused by the leaves falling into the garden pool, insects falling into it or inflating soil and sand, but sometimes also by algae. Sometimes this is also due to the use of incorrect cleaning agents. Flockfix is an excellent means of keeping crystal clear water. The product makes it easier to combine impurities into larger clumps, which can be trapped by the filter in the pump or collector. Larger dirt that settles to the bottom of the tank should be removed using a vacuum cleaner connected to the pump.
DON'T FORGET WATER pH MEASUREMENT!
The condition for honest care of pool water is to maintain the pH at a suitable level of 7.0 - 7.4. Within this range, the effectiveness of disinfectants is highest.
- too low pH - corrosion of metal parts of the pool, attack on plastered joints, fatigue of plastic materials and thus paints they will gradually fade;
- too high pH - itchy and allergic skin (irritates eyes and skin), reduced disinfection, limescale deposits, visible as a rough texture appearing on the walls of the pool or visible as a yellowish or brown in color;
Chemochlor pH plus and Chemochlor pH minus are used to increase or decrease pH.
We only give tablet chemistry using a dispenser or skimmer! Throwing directly into the pool can damage the walls and bottom of the tank. It is readily available in liquid and solid form (granules or tablets) and is easy to use. You can also use electrolysis of common table salt added to water, from which special equipment generates chlorine. It is a more efficient method (such as water irradiation), but also more expensive because it requires additional generators. However, the easiest way is to place special water surface tanks, which come with tablets or granules and which automatically distribute the chemistry to the entire pool.
No matter which method you choose, it's a good idea to remember it as a precaution - it's easier to prevent it than to fight it. It also costs less money and effort.
